Additional Information Recipe for Salal Jam:
12 cups of Salal berries, ¾ teaspoons of lemon juice, and 3 teaspoons of sugar. Put berries in sauce pan over medium high and cook until soft. Strain the berries to all of the juice. Put the berry juice back in the pan over medium heat and add lemon juice, sugar, and let it dissolve. Then can it filled with hot jam and put the lids on tight. Make sure all of the chunks are out of your juice. If you are not going to can and seal them then put it in the fridge.
